Shakeology

Shakeology is a meal replacement powder that I use for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. I'm not going to say that the shake alone will make you lose weight.  It's not magic powder. :)  If your other meals are calorie heavy/not so good for you, then having one shake a day won't do much to counteract that.  

I use it daily, usually as a breakfast or dinner option.  I am NOT one of those people who love the idea of "drinking" a meal.  I want something to chew!  I was doubtful when I first tried it that it would fill me up like a regular meal, so in the beginning I also blended it with extra fruit instead of just a liquid.  I did come around to trying it just mixed in a blender bottle (those bottles with the little wire ball that you just shake up and drink from) and found it did actually satisfy me.  It kept me full until my morning snack or lunch.

I use it just in the blender bottle mixed with some almond or cashew milk (unsweetened) or fat free milk most of the time.  That's just for the ease and quickness of it.  I treat myself every now and then to my "Frosty" version of it where I add frozen banana slices to the actual blender and blend it to a "Frosty" consistency.  Sometimes if I want it extra thick, I blend in 1/4 cup of cooked oatmeal as well.  I love eating my smoothies or shakes with a spoon (goes back to that whole I-like-to-chew-my-meals thing).

I can only share my experience with it and it is something I have enjoyed incorporating into my daily routine.  It's not for everyone and some people have their own version of a meal replacement shake that they love.  If you like chocolate Frosty's from a certain fast food restaurant though, I'm telling you, this version is better....and it's good for you!
