Sweat

We all know we should do it and we should probably be doing it more often than we are. But you know how it goes, excuses come up...no time, too tired, it's boring, long work day, I'm just going to watch one show (five) from the DVR, too busy with the kids, going on vacation, etc.

I'm the same as you and I've said my fair share of excuses.  I have to find the way that works for me.  That may be taking a walk, swimming in our pool, taking a bike ride, cleaning the house from top to bottom, going to the gym or working out in the comfort of my own home.  You need to find a way that works for YOU.  If you hate running don't try to force it. Maybe dance cardio is more your speed.

There is no ONE "right" exercise program.  Everyone is different.  I'll share with you the various ways I get my sweat on.  Maybe you'll be inspired to try one too!

I've completed Beachbody's T25 program a couple times and it might be my favorite so far. Why?
  • The workouts are only 25 minutes long
  • You get a GOOD sweat on, even with the modifications they offer
  • You feel like you succeeded at the end of the 25 minutes
  • You can do it in your own living room (No extra time spent in traffic driving to the gym or spending extra gas money!)
  • Shaun T. is entertaining and not at all hard to look at. ;-)
I've also done a round of the 21 Day Fix and lost 6 pounds in just 21 days and definitely could notice a flatter stomach.

Up next?  PIYO!  Another Beachbody program but this one is a mix of yoga and pilates and doesn't require any equipment (or even sneakers!)  It's low impact without a lot of jumping and pressure on your joints or back.  I'm excited to try this as it sounds pretty different from the programs I've used in the past.
